Marketplace Recommendations

Marketplaces integrating GCTs should consider the following guidelines to ensure consistency, user trust, and alignment with the protocol:

Display Recommendations

• Clearly show GCT status: Active, Redeemed, or Invalid

• Optionally highlight verified vendors based on Vendor Root recognition or a public index

• Display key fields like weight_in_troy_ounce, serial_number, and fineness prominently

Metadata Parsing

• Parse and display CBOR metadata fields in a structured way

• Warn users if required fields (e.g. serial_number, weight_in_troy_ounce) are missing or malformed

Redemption Visibility

• Clearly indicate if a GCT has been burned with burn_type: redemption

• Optionally show the signature field and its verification status

Buyer Safety

• Only list GCTs that descend from a known Vendor Root

• Optionally link to vendor’s external_url or vendor_url

• Display a clear finality disclaimer when supporting redemption flows
